Turbulence toolboxes

Here's a listing of the various matlab toolboxes to compute tke dissipation epsilon and thermal variance dissipation chiT. Most of these toolboxes relate to described techniques in published methods journal articles.

Inertial subrange fitting of velocities

Repository associated with a published L&O:methods article. The code has been updated/improved overtime since publishing the article.

Microstructure shear probe

Spectral fitting of velocity shear measurements to obtain epsilon as per Bluteau et al, 2016 (JTECH)

  • Performs spectral fitting and integration of computed wavenumber spectra.
  • Up to the user to convert and process their raw measurements.
  • User must also compute and decontaminate their spectra.
